SA Rider chosen to represent Australia at the Para Equestrian World Games
Rachel Vincent has advised us of very exciting news in that SA has a representative chosen for the Para Equestrian World Games. The Team has just been announced and SA’s Grace Bowman riding in the Grade 2 Section on Kirby Park Joy has been selected. We extend our congratulations to Grace and KP Joy on this wonderful achievement.
Grace was a winner at the Para Equestrian Nationals held recently in Toowoomba. Grace won all three tests in the Grade 2 section at the Nationals and in Sydney at the selection competition. Her results were fantastic, getting the required 70% in most of her tests to be considered for selection.
I believe Megan Jones will be strapping for Grace if she gets selected for the WEG. Megan will stay on and will ride KP Joy in preparation for Grace. Grade 1 & 2 riders are allowed to have their horses warmed up prior to an event. There must be 15 minutes between the Groom and the competitor mounting the horse.
Lizzie Sobecki also made the massive trips to Toowoomba & Sydney, doing extremely well being placed 4th in the Grade 3 Section.
Congratulations to Lizzie on being selected to compete in the Young Rider Dressage on Jet, in New Zealand.
Equestrian SA wishes these two fantastic riders, their horses, grooms and families all the very best for the coming competitions.
